It seems like each day that I pick up a newspaper, my eyes are constantly drawn to another traditional business projecting more layoffs. To be honest, this angers me, while at the same time, it excites me. I get angry because I think about the families of those who are being laid off. How will they survive? But it excites me because I know the answer to the question: online cash revenues.
The world of the web is not the vast empty space that it once was. There are many more people online that have staked a claim. However, we’re not overcrowded yet, and there are literally millions of ways to take your piece of the online pie.
I’ll start out by warning you that the world online is pretty simple, yet you can make it overly complicated if you are not careful. If you go searching for how to make a living on the internet, you will find 1,000 ways to do it, try them all, fail and quit with full discouragement in your mind. Don’t do that! Stick to just a few basics and your efforts will pay off.
Here are the basics that I learned early on when starting my internet cash business.
1) Keyword research is key. Sounds funny right? The truth is that there is someone out there in web land searching for just about anything. The key to keyword research is determining whether or not you can make money from those searches. It stands to reason that someone searching for “car loans” is looking to actually get hooked up with one. While someone searching for the “bio of Abe Lincoln” is not looking for anything more than some free information. You ability to key in on what we call “buying keywords” will make all the difference in making money, and making some happy book report footnotes!
2) The next piece we need in this puzzle is the knowledge of how to get our website to rank high up in the search results for our chosen money keywords. It would be really hard to rank for “car loans” so we need another plan. Let’s look at something in the same field but more specific. A great example would be “car loans Fishers, In.” This is what we call a long tail and I am almost certain we could rank for it. There would be less competition and we could own that phrase! Long tails are where it is at for beginners.
3) Now that we have a good longtail keyword, we still have to tell the search engines that our website is all about “car loans in Fishers, Indiana.” The was we will do that is to make that the actual title of our site, and we will also draw inbound links from other websites using that keyword. Always remember: he who has the most inbound links, wins! Inbound links tell the search engines that other sites see you as an authority for “car loans Fishers, IN” and thus they will send visitors to you.
4) We are almost done, now comes the fun part: making money. We need to find an affiliate partner who will pay us to send them leads of people looking to sign up for car loans. You can expect to make anywhere from a couple dollars per lead to a few hundred depending on your niche. Car loans, for example, pay nicely, Just a few conversions per month could make you over $1,000. Great job you!
In the end, I hope you realize this information is just the most basic of basics. The last thing I want you to do is go out and get all excited and try to make a million bucks overnight. You need to be diligent, persevere and keep your head down and your heart up to succeed. Start with the basics, and start your new career or financial freedom!
