If there is one sport that is gaining tremendous ground in popularity, it is basketball and if you are looking for NBA gear, you are going to be seeing more of it. Basketball isn’t just a game anymore. It’s a full blown event much like some of the traditional big sports leagues such as the NFL.

NBA is big and it’s getting bigger. Even women are becoming more familiar with the names and faces of the NBA stars and have begun to develop their own sports wardrobe which includes hats, tee-shirts, jerseys, and even accessories. Hey Are those Reebok’s in the closet? Sports are big business and for the NBA, that business is getting bigger.

NBA has always had fans. I’m not saying otherwise. It’s just that the popularity of it seems to be growing and not just in the cities and states that have NBA teams. You might expect to see NBA gear in Los Angeles or Boston but now you can find it in big supply in Kansas and Minnesota, North Carolina, Nebraska, simply put; everywhere!

NBA is big and so is the fan base. Stores that sell sports gear are making room for more and more NBA clothing and accessories. Yes, right there along with the MLB and the NFL as well as the NCAA, NBA is gaining more floor space at the sport shops.

People in general love sports and loving the NBA is no different. Although there has been a surge in NBA fans, there are yet others who are and always will be fans of other sports. That’s how it works and that is what makes it interesting… Many choose one favorite sport but enjoy several. NASCAR is one example of that. There are many Nascar fanatics that also enjoy football or basketball. With the NBA, they have their die-hard fans, but some have also been known to watch other sports events too. Of course, these other events take a back seat once “their” team is playing.

There was one NBA party in my recollection where they had those huge wall stickers of the basketball players put up all through the house. That was a memorable NBA themed occasion; everyone had on their jerseys and went and had their picture taken next to the NBA Star (Well, his plastic wall sticker anyway!).

NBA parties can be just as (or more) fun than an MLB party or an NFL party. The idea is to get people together and have fun while supporting “your” team. The hats, jackets and accessories just add to the atmosphere and the fun and they are a big part of the event. So go down to the mall or jump on the internet and get the latest sports gear so you can show it off to your party goers. No, it isn’t a fashion show, its fun! Get those snacks ready and the television dusted off, put on your sports wear and get ready to party. The NBA is here to stay so make the most of it.
