Which Foods Cause Eczema {By: Lucille Green}

Many people believe they have discovered the cure for eczema but that is not the case, as yet, but the result in of eczema is in all probability related to the body’s own immune system. While we do not have a cure for eczema yet, our awareness of causes and treatments continues to grow. This is indicated in the sufferer by skins surface that is red, itchy and may start to peel from the dryness induced by the ailment. In severe cases of the disease flaking, bleeding, blistering, crusting and cracking of skin can be seen.

Over the years many eczema remedies have been tried and claimed to be a remedy for eczema but even today while there are many interventions, it is still a matter of trial error to find one that works for each individual. Because it is connected with the immune system, some people believe that the immune system needs to be strengthened by the use of a healthy well balance diet. It’s not always that the body needs medical intervention, but rather, that it needs to be fed the nutrients in which it is deficient.

An eczema flare up often signifies a lack in Vitamin A, especially beta carotene which is believed to be a major contributing component in a cure for eczema. This important nutrient is found in numerous green vegetables and because eczema is considered an immune-disorder, having a diet that contains more green vegetables would be a healthy remedy for eczema.

The more holistic the cure for eczema is the better for the person as those will not interfere with the body as chemical based solutions, nor will they make the disorder worse. Often antihistamines are used as an eczema relief but it is possible for them to interfere with the bodies histamine output causing an adverse effect and making the disorder worse so it is worth checking the possible results before they are used. Creams purported to be a cure for eczema are often just very good moisturizers which can be used to help prevent and reduce the eczema disorder.

The steroid cream hydrocortisone is also very efficient as a remedy for eczema but once again should be used with caution and not on a regular basis as the best remedy for eczema is knowing what activates the condition. Herbal remedies which are usually emollients containing extra components sometimes claim to be holistic cures for eczema. One such holistic remedy is sorbelene moisturizing lotion which meats the requirements of the eczema sufferer using holistic ingredients like avocado oil, oatmeal paste and herbs.

Ground oatmeal can be added to a bath as a natural cure for eczema as it is claimed to be a wonderful way to treat mild to serious eczema. Regular bathers with eczema know to not stay in the bathtub for too long and to apply emollient while they are still damp to seal in the moisture and stop the skin from drying out to quickly. Oatmeal is known to relieve itchy skin surface thus allowing the already damaged and inflamed skin time to heal but other studies refute the use of bathing, suggesting that a tepid shower is preferable as too much water aggravates the disorder.
